The best destination wedding locations in the US

By: Kendall Pulaski

Trying to decide where to have your wedding can be a tough decision. However, this is one of the very first steps in the wedding planning process; everything else falls into place around it! If you are potentially thinking about having a destination wedding, here are some perfect places for a wedding away.

Key West, Florida

Key West is the perfect Island vibe with gorgeous blue water and white sand beaches. If you’ve always dreamed of a tropical wedding Florida is for you. There so many different venue options and styles to chose from, whether you want a waterfront location or a tropical garden look it has so many perfect spots. Even outside of the wedding planning, there is a ton of fun things for you and your guest to do to ensure your wedding away will be memorable.

Napa Valley, California

One of my favorite destinations is Napa Valley. Known for its Cabernet Sauvignon, it is one of the world’s most popular wine region. (Which means you should totally be serving local wines at your wedding!) Napa Valley is known for its beautiful countryside hills with nearly 400 wineries, it is guaranteed to be the perfect backdrop for your special day. Not to mention, your guest will always have something to do while on the trip, which will probably entail a lot of wine tastings and visiting vineyards across the Valley. There are so many perfect locations you could have your wedding guaranteed to make the trip memorable for everyone.

Nashville, Tennessee

Nashville has recently become the hot spot for bachelorette parties, however it has some pretty amazing wedding spots as well. Nashville is the heart of country music, so if that is your vibe then it will be perfect for you! It makes for an amazing spot because of its beautiful skyline, central location, and lively downtown, your guest will be jumping at the opportunity to attend! Not to mention, you can’t go wrong with taking your reception down to broadway afterwards for you and your guest to enjoy a night on the town!

Idaho Springs, colorado

You can’t go wrong with a destination wedding in Colorado! Colorado is one of the most beautiful and scenic states filled with natural beauty and gorgeous Rocky Mountains. Colorado Springs is nothing short of amazing! Whether you want a venue in the middle of the city, or maybe right in the midst of wildlife it has it all. Plus, it can be gorgeous year round depending on what type of wedding you want. The spring is perfect for if you are wanting a snowy backdrop and ski time for your guest. On the other hand, the summer is warmer and has beautiful flowers and the breathtaking views.

Martha’s Vineyard

Martha’s Vineyard is the perfect place for those who may want to travel more up north. Martha’s Vineyard has such a large variety of venues and backdrops to chose from whether it be the beautiful beaches, cliffs, or the lighthouse. Plus, your guest will absolutely love a trip to the seaside! Summer is the busiest time of year in Martha’s Vineyard, so spring or fall would definitely be my reccomendation!
